Health Tip
What do you need to do after a dog bites your baby? What is rabies? Rabies is a type of disease that is caused by a virus that infects people through saliva from an infected animal. The disease can be fatal if a patient is not treated in time.
What are the symptoms of people with rabies?
1. Feeling sick such as flu like symptoms, feeling less hungry, with symptoms such as fever, headache, sore throat, and vomiting.
2. Aggressive and excited behavior, behaving differently from ordinary people.
3. Pain in the skin.
4. Fear of water and chills.
5. Feeling weak and even with a diarrhea.
Ways of treating the disease:
When the disease begins to produce symptoms, it is difficult to find a cure. Most people with chronic allergic reactions face death. So protection is very important. If you think you are at risk from this type of illness, seek urgent medical treatment to prevent the virus from entering your body and brain, which causes the above symptoms.
If you have symptoms, your doctor may be able to administer a treatment. Treatment reduces pain and respiratory distress.
If you are bitten you need to do these things immediately:
1. Clean the wound with soap and water
2. Get to the hospital for treatment
3. If you have pets, take regular rabies injections
4. Avoid exposure to infectious animals, even if they are dead. If you have been bitten or stung, get regular anti-rabies vaccinations.
